Professional Biography I own a small women-owned business providing public participation, facilitation, and training services for federal and state agencies. I design and implement public participation programs and facilitate group processes. I work with decision makers to design a meaningful role for the public in public policy/decision-making process. I am a Certified Professional Facilitator (under IAF), specializing in working with groups composed of public citizens from diverse backgrounds that work by consensus. Clients include the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE - primarily National Environmental Policy Act compliance and a federally-chartered citizen advisory board), US Forest Service (DOA - biomass utilization), Bureau of Land Management (DOI – grazing management), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA, CERCLA community relations), National Park Service (training), Army Corps of Engineers (CERCLA community relations and RCRA public participation), and the Idaho Departments of Health and Welfare (long-term medical monitoring at a Superfund site), Environmental Quality (watershed management), Fish and Game (wildlife conservation for sensitive species). I prefer working with groups before disputes arise, helping people from diverse perspectives to collaborate respectfully on shared concerns and build consensus through dialogue. I am also licensed by IAP2 to deliver a 5-day (3-course) certificate program in public participation.
