Position or Title Professor

Professional Biography I hold the Spicer Chair in Collaborative Practice in the School of Environment and Natural Resources, and am a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wyoming.  I am also affiliated with the Ruckelshaus Institute at the University.  I teach students and provide training in negotiation and decision making to government agency staff, business leaders and managers, elected officials, nonprofit leaders and citizens.  My associates and I provide process design and decision support services (including facilitation and mediation) to aid collaborative decision-making on environmental policy and natural resources management issues.  Our clients include federal, state, and local government agencies and private organizations. We also convene policy and problem-solving forums.  I have experience in the following policy issues:  air quality, water quality, watershed protection, groundwater quality and quantity protection, hazardous waste and risk assessment, energy development, endangered species, forest management, recreation management, agricultural waste management, and land-use and sustainable development.
