Professional Biography I started my career in ADR in labor and commercial arbitration and community mediation. Throughout the 1980's I worked at the National Institute for Dispute Resolution with practitioners, educators and policymakers. Since  1990, I have been the director of the Florida Conflict Resolution Consortium where I have specialized in facilitating more than 45 statewide and regional committees and task forces, many of which have focused on environmental and land use issues. I have also served as mediator in dozens of environmental enforcement and land use cases.  I try to work with the sponsor/convenor and the participating stakeholders as a nuetral to design processes that are sensitive to the political and technical nature of many of the issues and informed by interest based negotiation and large group problem solving and consensus building methods. My style of mediation practice focuses on facilitating the communication and conversation among parties to clarify the nature of the disputes and the options for finding solutions. I also try to bring a sense of humor to the task.
