Professional Biography Compicated public policy and environmental facilitation projects are my core competence. I recently completed a 6 month facilitation with San Diego Environmental groups working through issues that developed around Transportation funding negotiations. We're currently working on building consensus in a coastal city for park usage, trying to brainstorm ways of making sports fields work with passive uses.Adding to the diversity of my background, I believe I am the only roster member to have been the president of a small oil company.I have been involved in mediation since 1996 and have been a credentialled mediator since 1998. During that time, I have mediated over 200 community or court-ordered cases, most involving complicated business or real estate scenarios (totalling more than 900 hours of mediation experience). I was an American Arbitration Association arbitrator from 1983 through 1999.In addition to my mediation experience, I taught environmental law to paralegals at the University of San Diego (since 1995). I have been active as an environmental lawyer since 1991 with experience as: lead counsel in $10 million soils and groundwater contamination case, involving Regional Water Board, DTSC, Polanco actions etc.; represented to build-to-suit owner against GSA lessee for decommissioning of building after 30 year DEA occupancy; represented Landlord after discovery that space leased to E.P.A. contained asbestos; two cases of representing owners of property alle
