Professional Biography Mary Margaret Golten, founding Partner of CDR Associates, has over twenty five years of  experience in mediating large and small scale disputes, designing and conducting training programs, and designing dispute systems, both in the US and abroad.  She specializes in multiparty environmental and public policy conflicts, working with diverse stakeholders to reach acceptable settlements to issues in dispute.  She also has extensive experience in organizational conflict management and negotiation and has been a consultant to numerous private and public organizations as well as mediator of complex organizational disputes and public policy dialogues.Specific environmental areas in which Ms. Golten has worked include mediation of a highly polarized mining clean up dispute; the design, convening and facilitation of a working group, including federal state and local officials, members of public interest groups and developers regarding future use of a nuclear weapons site; the mediation of a chemical spill in a low income area of a large metropolitan center; and consultation and training of federal staff responsible for support and implementation of ADR processes. In these cases Ms. Golten has acted as mediator, facilitator, consultant, and consensus builder—always with an eye to assisting the participants to take control of their own lives…and conflicts.
