Professional Biography Michael T. Lesnick is one of five founding partners of Meridian Institute, a non-profit organization providing neutral third-party facilitation of national and international, multi-party policy dialogues and negotiations aimed at resolving highly contentious and complex environmental and other public policy issues. Dr. Lesnick is a senior mediator.Dr. Lesnick has over twenty-five years of experience with collaborative processes. He has facilitated many local, national and international, ground-breaking dialogues, including: the Navy Plastics Dialogue; EPA National Advisory Committee on Food Safety; EPA/FAA Airline/Airport Voluntary NOX Reduction Dialogue; the Assembled Chemical Weapons Demilitarization Dialogue; the International Forestry Roundtable; and the International Dialogue on Plant Genetic Resources. He is comfortable working in highly charged political environments and in providing strategic advice to decision-makers helping them assess and implement innovative problem-solving processes.  He has considerable experience working on controversial issues  including: hazardous and nuclear waste management; clean air and clean water; endangered species and ecosystem management; biotechnology; agriculture, pesticides and toxics; oceans and fisheries; solid waste management and recylcing; sustainability; forest management; worker health and safety.
