Professional Biography Melinda has 24 years of experience managing and facilitating environmental consensus-building processes involving diverse stakeholders and contentious topics. Her facilitation and mediation experiences include numerous conflict/convening assessments, community advisory panels, Federal Advisory Committees (FACs), Peer Reviews, public meetings, workshops, training programs, arbitrations and cost allocations.  She has facilitated well over 200 meetings with groups of 15 to 300 participants. Ms. Holland has conducted 15 neutral situation or convening assessments involving a wide range of environmental conflict situations.  Ms. Holland has served as convener and facilitator for three Federal Advisory Committees (FAC), two for the U.S. EPA Office of Water, one for the Department of Energy. Ms. Holland facilitated each of these FAC groups for over three years. Ms. Holland has also successfully convened and facilitated 5 U.S. EPA community advisory groups (CAGs)at hazardous waste sites (Superfund and RCRA).Ms. Holland worked as a scientist and late as an attorney for 13 years in state and local environmental agencies on hazardous waste, water, wetlands, wastewater and a broad range of other environmental programs, gaining an excellent understanding of the legal, environmental and technical issues associated with environmental programs and disputes.
