Position or Title Director
Professional Biography After more than 20 years of experience as a facilitator and mediator, I believe that the most effective way to build agreement and resolve disputes over natural resource and environmental issues is to blend expertise in substance and process. To this end, I -- along with several colleagues -- help citizens and officials shape policy for people and places (urban, rural, working, and wild places) through public processes that are well informed and provide meaningful opportunities for all interested citizens and decision-makers to participate. In recent years, I have specialized in water policy, public land management, regional planning, and landscape conservation. I not only help people solve particular issues and problems, but increasingly help design collaborative systems of governance.
