Professional Biography I started Green Mountain Environmental Resolutions (GMER) to provide mediation, facilitation, early neutral evaluation, and permit consultation services to parties in environmental and land use disputes. GMER also works with governmental agencies, permitting bodies and courts to develop mediation programs for environmental and land use disputes. GMER has partnered with the Consensus Building Institute to develop the nation’s first fully integrated, statewide, multi-level mediation screening and evaluation program.I have over 20 years experience in environmental law and mediation, including 10 years as an attorney with the U.S. EPA and 5 years with the Vermont Environmental Board. At the EPA, I served as the Region 9 ADR representative and brokered dozens of Superfund allocations, some with hundreds of parties. At the Vermont Environmental Board, I served as an attorney and a mediator. My training includes coursework in mediation and advanced mediation for land use disputes. I have extensive environmental experience as an attorney including work on land use, water pollution, air pollution, and hazardous waste (Superfund and RCRA) issues.  This experience allows me to utilize both facilitative and evaluative mediation techniques depending on the particular facts and circumstances of the dispute.
