Professional Biography TMOC – with offices in Southern Nevada and Central Oregon - is dedicated to helping organizations and individuals achieve their goals in the most constructive and collaborative way possible. We have conducted conflict assessments, mediated complex multi-party conflicts, and designed public involvement processes. We have worked with local, state, tribal, and federal governments, including the DOI, DOE, USDA Forest Service, and the EPA. We have worked with many different stakeholder groups on a broad range of issues and have coached parties of all kinds in how to participate effectively in collaborative processes. TMOC has a network of highly skilled professionals with complementary abilities to draw upon as needed. These professional relationships provide TMOC with the resources of a large company, while maintaining the low overhead of a smaller firm. Because each group is different, our style differs, too, and is based on the group’s needs. Our work is informed by conflict theory and by the experience of helping numerous individuals and organizations resolve conflict in positive ways. We are particularly interested in ensuring that high-quality scientific and technical information is properly integrated in collaborative processes. We believe that the constructive engagement of conflict helps to build strong communities and institutions, strengthen democracy, and prevent future conflict.
