Professional Biography My experience is mainly in facilitating and mediating among multiple public agency stakeholders in the conservation planning, Endangered Species Act (ESA) section 7 consultation, Clean Water Act (CWA) 404 permitting processes and transportation or utility decision making and coordination.  My professional strengths are building mutual understanding and agreement on interests, and developing creative solutions.  I have developed a number of pathbreaking, programmatic approaches and been involved in sharing many more good models, developed by others.  Most recently I have been working with federal agencies on collaborating on landscape level approaches to resource assessment and conservation, integration of data systems, and resolution of related issues.  My particular style is informed by where I received my training.  I started out with a "get it done" orientation from Professional Facilitation, but evolved to a more relaxed style focused on ownership of the process by those involved, informed by NC Institute of Government professional facilitators.  My most extensive, interactive in-class training placed great emphasis on finding win-win solutions that meet the needs of all concerned.
