Our Mission

Position or Title Senior Director/Senior Mediator

Professional Biography I am a seasoned, versatile public policy facilitator/mediator, with over 25 years of experience as of 2012.  I am particularly drawn to environmental controversies in which cross-cultural dynamics are salient, and have both training and life experiences that have enabled me to be helpful in such situations.  I am accessible and responsive, and thoroughly enjoy helping individuals and organizations build their own capacities for collaborative problem solving (e.g., through coaching, training, and systems design). My intervention style has been described as friendly, gracious, and collegial, but also assertive and results-oriented.  I recognize the importance of careful "pre-work" to maximize the productivity of face-to-face negotiations. I have a Bachelor's and Master's in environmental / natural resource management, enabling me to quickly grasp the substance of environmental controversies so that I can effectively manage related consensus-building efforts.  I am detail-oriented and well-organized, enabling me to manage complex projects and/or streams of cases.  I am equally at home working solo or as part of a team. I am working on a doctorate in conflict analysis and resolution, reflecting my commitment to enhancing my projects' effectiveness through the benefits of both practical experience and up-to-date social science theory.
