I am also committed to helping diversify the field in which I work, and have served as a mentor in many of my cases, working with community members, agency staff, or others interested in the field of dispute resolution, or simply wanting to gain some skills. I am particularly interested in cross-cultural conflicts, and have worked extensively with tribal governments and communities and Hispanic communities in the southwest. Many cases involving land preservation, wilderness, or instream flow have a significant cultural component, as environmentalists clash with potential allies -- local rural people relying on the land and water resourcese for survival.
