Professional Biography For the past 22 years I have served as a facilitator for environmental, land use, energy, transportation and water resource-related conflicts and collaborative problem solving processes.  Most of these issues have involved complex technical or scientific issues with overlays of various government regulations.  Virtually all of the cases have been multi-party and involved developing creative, interest-based solutions that sufficiently met all parties' needs in order to achieve consensus.  I have worked on cases for, and involving, almost every department of the federal government, including environmental, land management, and military services.  I also have worked extensively on cases at the local, state, and regional levels of government. My case work includes conflicts affected by most of the major environmental statutes including NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA, ESA, MMPA, CWA, and CAA.  I am past president of the International Association for Public Participation.
