Professional Biography James Wilkinson is a Senior Associate with more than ten years of experience in public involvement, conflict resolution and collaborative decision-making processes, rural community development, and sustainable natural resource management. Mr. Wilkinson is part of a Community Planning and Process Group, which provides technical support to communities as they work with state and federal agencies to address conflict areas and develop revitalization strategies for environmentally impaired properties. These projects have addressed both rural and urban areas, including many environmental justice communities. Since 2002, the Group has provided technical assistance to more than 100 communities spanning nine EPA Regions nationwide.Each of the projects has included a significant community involvement component. At many sites, assessing and addressing conflict is the primary project goal. Many of the projects are managed by community-based committees that work with the Group to address potential areas of conflict and develop revitalization strategies that address multiple community needs and priorities. Mr. Wilkinson has served as the lead conflict assessor, process design specialist, meeting facilitator, project manager, and trainer in more than 60 of these communities, and has authored twenty project reports.
