Professional Biography Ms. MacLachlan has been a practicing mediator and facilitator since 1991. With long-time experience in community and employment mediation, she has worked primarily in the public sector for the past 15 years.  Ms. MacLachlan has moderated public meetings for federal agencies such as the National Park Service and U.S. Army Environmental Command, facilitated scientific working groups for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and designed specialized workshops for experts under the National Cooperative Highways Research Program research projects to document then disseminate best practices related to transportation and emergency management.  Ms. MacLachlan has also conducted situation assessments in workplace settings and for judicial districts (these assessments preceded facilitated stakeholder meetings), facilitated public meetings and advisory boards for transportation and transit projects, and facilitated public health preparedness workshops and exercises for community organizations. Ms. MacLachlan's experience in multiple sectors addressing a range of conflicts has reinforced her beliefs about the universality of good conflict management, mediation, and facilitation principles applied with a firm grounding in neutrality, self-determination, and protection of process integrity.
