Professional Biography I have successfully mediated a wide range of environmental disputes including: tribal fishing rights; allocation of water rights in the Great Lakes and the Southwest; clean air enforcement (the first successful mediation of a clear air enforcement case); Superfund allocation; land use; environmental takings in the West and the Everglades; and a clean water permit concerning a military facility.  The complexity of my cases have varied from two to sixty parties, with upwards of more than 100 participants attending some meetings.My mediation style varies with the needs of the participants.  I have mastered complex science and legal issues.  However, I am also able to develop a rapport with participants and can translate and discuss highly technical subjects with non-experts.  My greatest strength is quiet persistence.  Even when participants held out little hope that their case could be resolved, the mediation process worked.  Responses to our participant questionnaires have uniformly reflected satisfaction with the process.  I would be pleased to provide more references upon request.
