Professional Biography Heather Bergman facilitates and mediates complex public policy deliberations on a variety of substantive issues, such as water supply planning, water quality protection, watershed restoration, land use planning, public lands management, and public health.  These collaborative negotiations and discussions involve multiple and diverse stakeholders including federal and state agencies, local municipalities, advocacy organizations, and residents, as well as meaningful opportunities for public engagement on pressing policy problems.  Additionally, Heather has substantial experience facilitating strategic planning discussions for nonprofit, government, and private entities.  Heather considers herself a collaborative partner in a process, working with stakeholders to set the general direction and individual meeting agendas that guide a group’s deliberations.  She uses gentle direction and humor to ensure that a group’s early momentum is not squandered and keep a process and group negotiations moving.   Heather has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Modern Languages and a Master's Degree in Public Administration.
