Position or Title Senior Mediator

Professional Biography I'm a collaborative specialist who facilitates and mediates public policy processes where government agencies can have meaningful and productive conversations with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, farmers, planners, and California Native Americans.  My areas of professional expertise include conflict resolution, collaborative visioning and strategic planning, large-scale public involvement, communication planning, and assessment, with secondary expertise in facilitation training.  I work on technical, policy, and planning issues.  As of May 2010, my major water-related projects include the California Department of Water Resource's Interim Levee Design Criteria work group, California FloodSAFE Initiative, the California Water Plan Update 2013, the Interim Federal Action Plan for the Bay-Delta's interagency water conservation and recycling effort, and a Napa County groundwater situation assessment.  I bring first-hand experience with multiple stakeholder perspectives to my facilitation, for example, in different projects I have worked with the federal and state planning and regulatory agencies that craft policy, and the water districts that have to implement it.
