Professional Biography My role has been to develop, interpret and apply science to resource management concerns.  I have developed an expertise with NEPA, ESA, CWA and the cultural preservation laws and am employing that expertise to assist in facilitating and directing restoration activities.  My efforts focus primarily in three areas:  (1) Process, (2) methods and use, and (3) interpretation and application.  As a neutral entity I interface between public stakeholder groups and scientists and resource managers.  I carry professional liability insurance which has required me to apply specific criteria to application of technical informnation in the work and writing that I do.  I have written over 50 professional articles related to science and its use particularly in the area of Adaptive Management and environmental law.  I actively use Geographic Information System technology in integrating science and decision-making.  I have traveled extensively and frequently am called to meet with Congressional staff and leaders on environmental issues.
