Professional Biography Dawn Davenport, mediator, attorney and facilitator, specializes in facilitating groups and resolving disputes with environmental issues. Ms. Davenport has offices in Dallas,Texas and in the western part of North Carolina. She has been involved in the environmental field since 1980 as an environmental scientist and as an environmental attorney, mediator and facilitator. Ms. Davenport has written and lectured extensively on using alternative dispute resolution in environmental disputes. Her experience includes disputes involving hazardous waste, underground storage tanks, groundwater contamination, surface water contamination, solid waste,air emissions, public health concerns and environmental justice issues. She is a member of the environmental and ADR sections of the national, state and local bar associations. She was chair of the Dallas Bar Association Environmental Law Section for 1998 and is currently the co-chair of the ADR subcommittee of the Insurance Coverage Committee of the ABA Section of Litigation. She is on the American Arbitration Association National Environmental Panel and has been an adjunct professor of environmental law at the Southern Methodist University School of Law and an adjunct professor of environmental policy at Brevard College. She clerked with Federal District Judge Barefoot Sanders in 1987-1988. Ms. Davenport utilizes a variety of facilitation and mediation styles since no one style is appropriate for all disputes or facilitations.
