Professional Biography I work primarily as a facilitator, helping parties to safely say what is preventing progress on issues.  Typically that involves a distinct assessment phase (conduct research, interview parties) and well-designed meetings.  I am careful to ensure that the process is inclusive of all parties who need to be present and is transparent to all extended public interests (when possible).  I have been doing this work for more than 30 years.  I am credited with the invention and development of group processes that help groups to work together productively, and with large scale public policy processes.  The Negotiated Investment Strategy is an example, often credited as the primary influence on the use of third parties in complex, multi-jurisdiction policy issues.  A primary interest - and the reason for the name of my small consulting business - is to help people create and recreate the communities they live within.
