Professional Biography My practice focuses on resolving water and wastewater disputes which typically involve multiple parties including local governments (cities, villages, townships), regional government (counties), state government, businesses/industrial facilities, and environmental or public interest groups.  I draw on more than 30 years of environmental engineering expertise to help facilitate the dispute resolution proces.  I am technically knowledgeable about design and construction issues,environmental assessments, property acquisition and state/federal environmental regualtions.  My style is to build consensus among the parties by breaking down barriers and establishing postive communication between the key decision makers. I rely on a team building approach to overcome adversarial positions and negate confrontational attitudes. In addition to Environmental Dispute Resolution, I have mediated a number of other problems include probate cases, child custody and visitation matters, landlord/tenant problems and domestic violence cases.
